William K. Ellermeyer
Orange County Affiliate
William K. Ellermeyer, former human resources executive, is an experienced entrepreneur, global speaker, and executive career coach. During the 1980’s, Bill pioneered “Career Management Services,” an executive outplacement business located in Orange County, California. His firm expanded to three cities and was acquired in 1989 by Lee Hecht Harrison. Bill was instrumental in expanding the business to what is now recognized as one of the leading outplacement firms in California. Recognizing the need to create a “concierge service” to address the career needs of top level executives, Bill formed an alliance with his long time professional associate, Bob Glasberg, founder and owner of the San Diego-based firm Executive Coaching & Career Consulting. Their combined experience, Bill with 27 years in Orange County and Bob with 22 years in San Diego, provide a powerful network of client resources in Southern California.
Prior to his work in the outplacement industry, Bill worked as a human resources executive, holding several positions including his last corporate position as Vice President, Human Resources for AIR CAL (later acquired by American Airlines). Bill additionally held HR positions at Lowes Snyder Corp., Republic Corporation and Hunt Wesson Foods. Bill spent three years on active duty as a Naval Officer, having left the Naval Reserve with the rank of Lieutenant Commander.
Bill received his BA in Business Administration from Principia College in Elsah, Illinois.
